Many DGT members will know of, or will have visited, the garden at Coombe House created by Alasdair Forbes known as Plaz Metaxu. The garden is a meditation on the landform of the valley. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the many plants, spaces and meanings of the garden on whichever level they choose. Plaz Metaxu was one of only twenty gardens featured in Tim Richardson's recent book (2013) "The New English Garden" (see details here), others gardens included are Highgrove, Great Dixter and Wildside.
Plaz Metaxu's creator Alasdair Forbes has graciously agreed to guide this visit, and the tour will start promptly at 2p.m. A limited number of places are available and early booking is advised. Visitors will be permitted to bring a picnic and to enjoy views of the garden from the car parking area at 1p.m.
SORRY, THIS VISIT IS FULLY BOOKED. THERE IS A WAITING LIST IN CASE OF CANCELLATIONS. Contact Maggie Potter (t. 01626 879806; e. firstname.lastname@example.org).
