A guided tour of Stonelands, Dawlish (courtesy of Mr K. Derhalli).
Built in 1817 to a design by Sir John Nash, Stonelands House sits in 19th and 20th century pleasure grounds, listed grade II by Historic England, with new plantings by celebrated designer Arabella Lennox-Boyd. Specimen trees, shrubbery, woodland and riverside walks, sweeping lawns and an extensive rockery designed by W.J. Chinneck in the 1930s planted with rhododendrons and camellias. This is a delightful private garden and we are delighted to have been offered this rare opportunity to visit by the owner. Head Gardener Saul Walker will conduct the tour.
