The January Lecture has become a fixture in the DGT's Events Calendar.  In 2017 we are very fortunate to have Anna Pavord, the gardening correspondent for The Independent and the Anna Pavordauthor of acclaimed gardening books including The Tulip and The Curious Gardener. She wrote for the Observer for many years, and has contributed articles to a great range of magazines.  Her latest book Landskipping was published in January 2017.

Planting an Impression.  Gardens and flowers were an ever-present theme for Impressionist painters such as Monet, Pissarro, Renoir and Gustave Caillebotte.  Looking at their paintings, what can we learn about the Impressionist’s gardens and their favourite flowers?  Anna Pavord is
