An important role of Devon Gardens Trust is responding to planning applications which affect sites in Devon on the Historic England Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England, which it does on behalf of the Gardens Trust, the national organization that is the statutory consultee; and it may comment on planning applications affecting sites on the Devon Local List of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest. On average there are fifty to seventy applications a year in Devon that require consideration.
To view planning applications and DGT responses you will need to go to the planning portal of the relevant planning authority and search for the planning application (by site name or number) then to the Comments tab, where both Devon Gardens Trust and Historic England comments will be found under Consultee Comments. You can check the planning authority by searching for the site under Parks and Gardens then follow the links below to the relevant planning authority.
