Bursaries for Education, Study and Research

Devon Gardens Trust offers a limited number of bursaries of up to £1,000 each per year in order to assist students and eligible individuals normally resident in the county.  This financial assistance can be put towards course fees or other studies and research connected with historic parks, gardens or other significant designed landscapes within Devon. 

The use of the Bursary could include the following: 

1. Research
Study of and preservation of research material and documents relating to Devon historic parks, gardens or any significant designed landscape. 

2. Surveys
Archaeological, photographic, historical, environmental, or horticultural that result in a body of written or illustrative work. 

3. Publications
Research on specific sites or topics related to garden design history or horticulture in Devon.

4. Course fees for an accredited course. (e.g. RHS, City and Guilds, BTEC). 
Whether in part or whole.

5. Continuing Professional Development: course, seminar, workshop, conference

Please note other categories which enable development and learning may be considered by the Trust on enquiry.

Accommodation and other living expenses, including travel to and from courses will not be supported.
