2018 is the bicentenary of the death of Humphry Repton and there are many events being held around the country to celebrate this talented landscape architect.
Avon Gardens Trust is holding a Repton Study Day, entitled ‘by Nature so Romantic’ on 25th April 2018 at Leigh Court near Bristol. The day will be a celebration of the work of Humphry Repton; the last great landscape designer of the 18th century and bellwether of the 19th century garden. His designs for Leigh Court crystallise the transition from the Picturesque to the Gardenesque.
