Quaker Burial Ground

The Quaker burial ground lies just outside the city walls in the Southernhay and Friars Conservation Area. Two other nonconformist burial grounds lie within close proximity to the site. These include the Dissenters graveyard and the Jewish burial ground. The burial ground lies within the Exeter City Area of Archaeological Importance and is included in the schedule of buildings of local importance.  The Quaker burial ground is considered to be a heritage asset of high local significance.  The burial ground is a simple design, modest headstones in a lawn, a path with mature yews through the middle of the site, and flowering shrubs along the north wall. It is a pleasant, tranquil place and well maintained.
