Description:
A Dartmoor garden running downhill from the house, which has views out to the moor. A large rocky pool lies immediately beyond the front terrace and from this the water flows down through formal and informal pools to the lowest bog garden. The planting beneath mature trees uses acid-lovers to good effect. A clump of mature beeches by the drive entrance is enhanced by the luxuriant moss and ferns below. The walled kitchen garden to the west of the house also has ornamental areas.
