Description:
A 5 acre landscaped arboretum and water garden developed by the Ashburners to display National Collections of wild-origin Birch and Alder, attractively grouped and enhanced by an imaginative summer sculpture exhibition and other planting. Ken Ashburner began planting the gardens in 1971 with seed raised from wild-origin seed from Canada, USA, Europe, India, the Himalayas and Japan.
Holds National Collections of Birch and Larch.
