On Psyche’s Lawn, The Gardens at Plaz Metaxu

Date/Time: Tuesday, 26th January 2021 |
Venue: Online via Zoom
Cost: DGT Member: Free; Non DGT Member: £4

The ethereal image taken at sunrise on a May morning across the lake with the sail representing Psyche and the shadows of the Scots Pine stretching architecturally across the lawn captures the magic of the landscape Alasdair Forbes has created since 1992 at Plaz Metaxu in North Devon. The landscape is an exploration of myth, philosophy, literature and art; of meaning, emotion and space; the design of the different spaces and their relationship to each other takes one on a spiritual journey enriched with a horticultural feast. Thought-provoking and visually stunning, Alasdair will transport us through the development of Plaz Metaxu, ‘the place that is between’, which we hope to visit later in 2021.
