1September 2021 we welcomed over 50 members to Poltimore House and grounds near Exeter for our AGM. We were honoured to have our Patron, The Earl of Devon attend and give a short address.
After the formal part of the day we learnt about the history of the gardens and house from Ted Hitchins of the Poltimore Estate Research Society. This was followed by a walk of discovery around this historic landscape and house. Amongst the notable trees spotted was a suckering Monkey Puzzle growing as it would in the wild.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to the volunteers at Poltimore.
