Owners and DGT stalwarts Jeremy and Gill Hepworth have created a delightful garden at Cothland Barn on the hills above Lustleigh, with far-reaching views, naturalised ponds, a formal water garden, orchard, meadows, spectacular rock outcrops and a lower garden glade with stream. Much of the formal garden is close to the house and easy to access, but the lower garden walk is not for the faint-hearted. Meet at The Cleave Inn in Lustleigh at 1.45p.m. (lunches are available), and if necessary some cars can be left in the car park. Garden visit commences at 2p.m. Tickets £3.00 (members), £4.00 (non-members) to include tea and cake and a contribution to the Barn Owl Trust. Contact Maggie Potter (t. 01626 879806; e. firstname.lastname@example.org) to book (before Monday 5th August please).
