On Tuesday 8th January 2013, thirty six members of the DGT enjoyed a mesmerising talk on the discovery and uncovering of the Italian Garden at Great Ambrook, Ipplepen, delivered by Angela Dodd-Crompton. Angela has spent seven years researching the garden - its origin, design, development, its owners and their lives and the team of gardeners who tended it for 50 years until it fell into decline. She has accumulated a wealth of information and still spends 2-10 hours per day on her studies.
A brief report of her work appeared in the Winter 2012 issue of the DGT Newsletter (click here to download a copy).
