A unique opportunity to visit a Grade I listed house with Grade II listed garden, newly restored by the owners. The house was built in 1612 and was sold for the first time in 2007 having been passed down through generations of the Harbin family. The DGT has been invited to visit by the owners. Tours will start at 2pm, and the owners will show visitors round the house and gardens (which include an extensive walled garden, 90' long greenhouse, over 70 standard ‘weeping’ roses, formal potagere, mediaeval carp ponds, pleached limes and orchard. Cream teas will be served. Tickets £17.50 (members), £20 (non-members) to include cream tea. £15 per person will be donated to Breakthrough (a breast cancer charity).
